Verify the pair you ordered
Collection is where the written order meets the finished pair. There are two different checks: whether the lenses supplied match the intended specification, and whether the assembled glasses work in a stable position on your face. A lens verification instrument checks optical properties; a comfortable frame adjustment helps place those optics correctly. Neither replaces the other. Good vision through a frame that immediately slides down is not a complete fitting result.
Match your written order to the supplied lens details. Ask the dispenser to explain any product card, confirm the frame adjustment and demonstrate the intended viewing distances.
Agree on follow-up
Our editorial suggestion is to ask whom to contact for persistent blur, discomfort or fitting problems, and to keep the order record. Do not assume every difficulty is normal adaptation; discuss unresolved symptoms with the practice.
A worked example
Bring your order and try three familiar tasks: a distant sign, your phone and your normal reading distance. For progressives, ask which area to use rather than judging every task through the same point. Report which eye, distance or direction feels wrong and whether moving the frame changes it. Keep the product details and contact route for follow-up. Sudden major blur, pain or double vision should not be dismissed as ordinary adaptation.
CHECK YOUR UNDERSTANDINGDoes checking the lens label replace checking the fit on your face?
No. Product verification and on-face fitting answer different questions.
